about

Misrilou is a traditional song from the Eastern Mediterranean region, and the earliest known recording of the song is from 1927. There are also traditional Arabic, Jewish klezmer, Armenian, Persian and Turkish versions of the song. It gained worldwide popularity through Dick Dale's 1962 American surf rock version, originally titled “Miserlou".

lyrics

All it would take is one little kiss from you
your lips like honey sweeter than drops of dew
I need you to love me I need you to tell me true
for I'll wait all my life for the love of the one Misrilou

I will walk across the desert sea
I'll wait for fate to lay a path before me
I'll walk all the days walk all the nights a pray
that at the end you will be there
bright eyed and waiting for me

Desert shadow creep across the sand
old stars are calling calling out again
silhouetted under an eastern moon
is the one I adore the one they call Misrilou
